Ticketing Manager

G Live, Guildford

G Live is looking for a Ticketing Manager to manage its busy ticketing operation. The venue presents an exciting and varied programme of one night shows from top name comedians and music gigs, through to classical music, opera and ballet, as well as a range of hospitality events, and the successful candidate would be responsible for managing the smooth running of the ticketing operation, as well as a team of 7 full time and casual staff. This role will suit someone who already has ticketing experience and is looking for the next challenge. You will need to be confident liaising with a variety of stakeholders, from customers through to promoters and ticket agencies. Excellent communication and numeracy skills are essential, as well as an eye for detail and the ability to stay calm under pressure in a fast paced environment. Experience with Audience View ticketing system is desirable, but not essential as full training will be given.

Sales and Events Manager

G Live, Guildford

G Live is seeking a highly organised and professional Sales and Events Manager to join the team at this busy state-of-the-art multi-purpose arts, entertainment and hospitality venue . This is a wonderful opportunity for the right individual to further their career in the corporate and hospitality sector in a highly flexible venue. G Live hosts events across all spaces including the Main Hall, Studio, Reception Rooms, Seminar Rooms and foyer spaces in a range of formats and capacities from the smallest meetings to large scale conferences for over 1000 delegates. The in-house events and hospitality and kitchen teams also deliver the highest quality banquets, exhibitions, conferences and themed hospitality events.

This is a busy and challenging role, which is partly operational and will involve a hands-on approach. It is essential for the successful candidate to have held a Sales & Events Management position in a busy, high quality Conference & Events operation, preferably in a 4* Hotel or comparable conference centre. A major responsibility of the Sales & Events Manager will be to ensure customer service standards are met at all times, ensuring the smooth-running of both conferences and events to exceed guests’ expectations. In addition, the role will involve significant opportunity to be innovative, allowing the successful candidate to create events for up to 1000 people.

Since opening in September 2011, G live, Guildford, has seen remarkable success in growing sales. Working with local partners within Guildford and Surrey, the successful candidate will need to manage the existing portfolio of business, whilst looking to further develop areas of potential growth by engaging with local and national businesses, associations and key event agents. This will include a drive and desire to work with key local contacts in developing Guildford as a destination holistically, as a great place to hold events.
